Your extras become someone else’s find—and sales from the shop help neighbors in need here and around the world. Thank you for trusting us with your gifts.
Donation Guidelines
We appreciate your donations of new or gently-used clothing, household items, small furniture, toys and more! We want your donations to have the most impact to share hope and the good news of Jesus Christ, so here are some helpful tips before you donate:
- Please review items to ensure they aren’t broken, dirty, or in disrepair.
- Please ensure clothing is clean before donating. Clothing that is stained or ripped or dirty is better recycled than donated.
- We ask that you only donate items that are in clean, working and sellable condition. And please contact us for prior approval before donating furniture and any electronics such as TVs, VCR/DVD players, computers, printers, scanners, copiers, console stereos, monitors, keyboards, video consoles, handheld video games, etc, to make sure we have room and can use them.
Items we cannot accept
Unfortunately, there are some items that we are unable to accept due to the high cost of disposing of those items that we can’t sell.
- Non-working appliances
- Non-working animated items
- Non-working lighted items
- Non-working dehumidifiers or humidifiers
- Car seats over 6 years old
- Breast pumps
- Mattresses/Box springs
- Furniture that is ripped, stained, worn, broken, or that comes from a home with pets or smoking
- Entertainment centers or any other large furniture
- Large construction items (doors, windows, cabinets, etc.) unless prior approval is obtained
- Used shades/Blinds (new in package are fine)
- Door/Window screens
- Pianos/Organs
- Dirty, musty or torn clothing, linens, pillows, etc.
- Bean bags
- Paint/Flammable items
- Perishable or expired food items
- Opened lotions, makeup, shampoo, or conditioner
- Christmas trees

The Lord’s Closet is a 501(c)(3) ministry. Monetary gifts are welcome and help with ministry costs. Donations can be brought to the shop when we’re open or mailed to:
